The Newswomen's Club of New York is now accepting entries for the 2010 Front Page Awards. Each year, our awards honor the best journalism by women in the New York Metropolitan area for their work in print, wires, broadcast and online media.

The fee for each submission is $100 and can be paid online or by a check or money order payable to the "Newswomen’s Club of New York." Broadcast entries for TV and Radio must be submitted on DVD. Photographic entries must be submitted in hardcopy by mail. Text entries may be submitted in hardcopy or online, but the preference is for hard copy. For entries in the Online Category, please include an archived link. Online entries can be submitted at www.newswomensclubny.com.

Segments of winning entries will be shown at the Front Page Awards dinner on November 4.

Entry fees by check or money order must accompany entries sent to the Newswomen's Club of New York at 15 Gramercy Park South, NY, NY 10003. Entries made online on the Club's website use PayPal. (www.newswomensclubny.com)

Entry Guidelines

Entries must be received no later than September 6, 2010.                                                                       

  • Entries must have been published or broadcast between August 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010.  
  • Entrants must be women journalists, photographers or cartoonists who are staff or freelancers for news organizations within the New  York Metropolitan area.      
  • Each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry form, whether sent via e-mail or postal mail.
  • Any corrections or legal challenges to an entry must be included as part of the submission. An editor's note is also required to explain the context.
  • The judges reserves the right to consider an entry in a category other than the one for which it was submitted.
  • Individuals may enter more than one category, but a separate entry fee must accompany each individual submission.
  • Applicants in the print and online categories should include a link to their archived stories.
  • Submissions must be entered as published, with no alterations from the original.
  • Winning entries may be posted on the Newswomen’s Club Web site and included in club publications.
  • Winners will be honored at the annual Front Page Awards Gala at the Downtown Association on November 4, 2010. To attend the gala or become a corporate sponsor, contact newswomensclub@verizon.net
