Who Can Join?

Women are eligible for membership in The Newswomen’s Club of New York if they work primarily as members of the editorial staff of a news organization and are based in the New York metropolitan area. Freelancers are eligible for membership if they can provide annually 6 published examples of their work from within the past 12 months.

Please note, as a nonprofit professional membership organization, we rely on membership dues to cover operating expenses including rent, utilities, office supplies, and the Front Page Awards competition. Dues continue to be $75 per year, a price we’ve maintained for many years. They are payable online via Paypal.
