Benefits

Networking with the Best in the Business

No Agenda Tuesdays (the 3rd Tuesday of each month) that give us an opportunity to catch up, network, laugh, and hear from interesting people.  Events that bring us together with professionals from literary agents and authors to headhunters. The opportunity to build our skills by working with fellow members on programs, courses and events.

Discounted & Free Tickets

Discounted tickets to expert panel discussions, workshops and The Front Page Awards as well as access to workshops open only to members.

The Front Page Awards

One of the most prestigious journalism awards in the United States, giving us an opportunity to compete with colleagues from all media and to organize and run this competition. It’s also a fabulous dinner at which to network, and to celebrate Front Page Awards winners and the work we love

The National Arts Club

The Newswomen’s Club pays for a “club” membership to the National Arts Club at 15 Gramercy Park South, Manhattan, where The Newswomen’s Club of New York has its office on the second floor. This membership entitles members of The Newswomen’s Club to:

Use of the parlors, bar and dining room of this magnificent mansion (call the dining room at 212 477 2389 to make a reservation, always recommended)

Attendance at events, free and ticketed, held by The National Arts Club (pick up the monthly calendar of events at the front desk)

Use of Gramercy Park — just stop by the front desk of The National Arts Club and ask for the key to the park, which you return after your visit.

Regular Notices

Members receive notices about jobs, events, competitions and other information that matters to them.

The Newswomen’s Club of New York offers membership to professional newswomen in all media, from text to photography to news websites. Our annual dues are $75 and are payable by check or money order by February 28. Our goal this year is to bring in 100 new members. If we each bring in one new member we will handily surpass that goal.
