The Front Page Awards paid tribute to exceptional newswomen at local, regional, and national outlets across the New York metropolitan area. The event continued a tradition established 85 years ago when the New York Newspaper Woman’s Club (as The Newswomen’s Club of New York was then called) recognized women journalists whose bylined stories appeared on the front page, a rare occurrence for women in that era.
