Cigar Break, 2019
Caption: Cigar Break - 2019 - El Malecon is usually bustling with vintage cars and pedestrians, capturing a quiet moment in the mist of chaos.
Bio: I was 15 when photography entered my life. Being a bit of an introvert I was able to escape and look at life through a lens and a snap of the shutter. As a starving student I gave the camera up and it wasn't until decades later that I reconnected with this love and found my passion.
I am self taught and find the street to be my inspiration and its people my muse. I have had the opportunity of attending many workshops and classes at the International Center of Photography with accomplished photographers throughout the years, which has helped me cultivate this art. My preferred genre of photography is street photography but for the past year I have been working on the long term project Battling Beautifully and Boldly, a collection of images that highlights the connection of beauty rituals while battling cancer.
